Is the artificial sweetner "Equal" bad for you?

I tend to use alot of Equal in my tea. Exactly why is it bad for you. What does it do to you? Why dosen't the FDA take it off the market if it is so harmful?

but dont buy that- i drink all my teas wihout sugar-

Yeah, because they're usually carcinogenic. (Aspartame, etc.)

Getting cancer just to put something sweet in my mouth, especially something that doesn't even taste as good as real sugar? No thank you! =)

I think that any artificial food is bad for you. They use a lot of chemicals that harm your body. Anything natural is way better for you. FDA doesn't take a lot of things off the market like diet pills, deodorant (the ones that prevent you from sweating contains lots of aluminum), energy drinks.

By the way, carcinogenic means there are substances in there that may lead to, or cause cancer.

Its not that bad

only have like 1 small packet a day though...
