Brother is planning his wedding. His finace wanted to go to Vegas for marriage, but too expensive. So, wondering if Bossier City or Shreveport is similar to vegas in atmosphere, and if it is a popular choice for weddings/ honeymoons.

(We thinking bossier or shreveport will be cheaper, because we are already in Texas.)

Thanks.

  1. honestly if they want real fun why dont they just do a road trip for a week hitting different casinos  im in dallas and to biloxi is like 10 hours and thats supposed to be fun maybe stop in bossier city and shreveport and make a drive through new orleans to there or something

  2. First get a map! Shreveport / Bossier City is not in Texas it is in Louisiana.

  3. Hi

    EDIT: Oh.....

Well it would be OK to get married here because Shreveport has a lot of beautiful places for a wedding, but probably not for a honeymoon.  Shreveport doesn't really have a similar atmosphere to Vegas, but we do have a few casinos here.  I know of 3 casinos, but I'm sure there's more.  I went to one just once, but I went to the casino's restaurant, and the food is great.  There's also the Boardwalk, but that's located in Bossier City, and it's something like a mall, but I can't really describe it.   There are a bunch of bars here, but I don't go to them.  Here's some info about them:

As for restaurants, Superior Bar & Grill is great, but here are a few more:

    I hope this helps =)
