Here are some hockey questions for you:

1. Teemu Selanne holds the record for most goals in a Rookie Season with 77, so how come doesn't have 1000 goals in his career? One would think that someone with that many goals in his rookie year would have more goals per year as his early career went on till he rached the point to where we can no longer score as many. Certainly he should of reached 100 goals in a season at least!! Agree or disagree?

2. Which do you think Alex O will acheive in his lifetime, reaching 100 goals in a season or being the first NHL player to reach 1000 goals in his career?

3. Who would make a good NHL Comminisher?

4. When it's all said and done, where do you think Mats of Toronto will end up?

5. NHL cities you would like to visit regardless if you see a game there or not?

6. NHL cities you would not want to visit and why?

Bonus: How many beers do you think NIPS will have to drink before he has the confidence to ask Chris Chellos if he would like to tango sometime?

  1. Hooooooowwwwwwwwwwwlllllllleeerrrr!

1.He shot his load his rookie year.It was the record for a rookie so thats another reason why nobody else has it.Nobody is going to top 92 goals by 99 either.

    2.Neither but if I had a pick I guess 100 in a season.

3.Former trainer and owner of the 76ers Pat Croce. He straightened Iverson out why not Avery and the rest.

    4.He'll stay in Toronto.

    5.Phoenix...Honestly..Seems like a nice city.

    6.Columbus...zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Bonus-Who?

  2. 1. Agree. Logic would say he'd have that many after his rookie season, but apparently he was only a rookie wonder and nothing too much more. (Don't get me wrong...he's still a good player, but not like his rookie season)

    2. 1000 goals in his career is my guess.

    3. A retired ex-NHLer. Someone like Mark Messier would be a good choice.

    4. Mmm, Vancouver? Ha, I'm just guessing.

    5. Calgary.

    6. Detroit.....I just have something against that town, Philadelphia....I'd end up getting beat up, Atlanta....been there before, nothing too exciting.

    Bonus: Hahahah, 5.

  3. 1. Agree

    2. 100 goals a season

    3. Turco

    4. TORONTO

    5. Boston

    6. Carolina...not sure, just think it'd be my least favorite place to be. All cities for NHL teams seem good to me

Bonus- Too late! I bet he already has!!

  4. HEY HEY HEY

Did you know Bettman worked in the NBA in 80's & 90's

Gary Bettman was with the NBA from 1981 to 1993, where for some of the time he held the position of Senior Vice President.  That position was 3rd in command. That is a lot of time to pick up some of those "habits".

he weed out alot of c**p in the NBA!

give the man some respect !!!!!

  5. I don't know.  That's a tough one.

    1. Well, when you're a rookie, people don't know what to expect from you.  After the first season, people pick up on your tendencies and make it harder for you to do those things.  The best know how to adapt to that.  Plus it also hurt to play during a heavily defensive era.

    2. 1000 goals seems like it's more likely, especially if he stays healthy.

    3. Anyone not named Gary Bettman.

    4. For next season?  During his retirement?  After dying?  Which one?

In all seriousness, I think it will be somewhere in Eastern Canada.

    5. Toronto and Montreal, definitely.

    6. Denver.  I'm not sure how I'd get treated wearing my Wings gear there (something I like doing walking around Chicago).

    Bonus: None.

  6. 1. Because he's retired more times than Michael Jordan, Plus he hasn't had anyone to pass to him since that year.

    2.1000

    3. Bret Hull

4.On his couch in Sweden, he's done.

5.Toronto, I need to go to the HOF.

6.I'm not negatively partial to anyone

Bonus with that "sweet" avitar of Hernandez in the shower...1 little Nip of a beer...lol!!!

  7. MUCH lower.  At least Bettman likes hockey.

1.) Yeah, that is strange that he peaked at his rookie season.  But because he was such a superstar in only his first season, coaches and scouts probably studied him and picked up on his tendencies and found ways to stop him.  Considering Gretzky couldn't get 100, I don't think Selanne would've done it.

2.) Neither.  Once again, if Gretzky couldn't do it, Ovechkin can't do it.  In his 3 NHL seasons so far he's gotten an average of 54.33 goals a season.  I don't think that number is ever going to skyrocket to 100.  I think the highest number of goals he'll ever get to is in the 70s.  And at that pace, he'll never reach 1000 goals.

3.) Lou Lamoriello!!  He's a geezer now and he might be going a bit senile, though.  But we still love Lou!

4.) Back in Toronto.  He refused to waive his no trade clause at the trade deadline last season, so he seems like he wants to stick around Toronto.

5.) I've been to Boston, Ottawa, NYC, San Jose, Toronto, Washington DC, and Montreal.  I would love to go back to all those cities except DC.  I also want to go to Denver to ski or snowboard.  There's so much snow in New Jersey, but not enough to go real skiing.  Jersey ski places have fake snow.

6.)  I would not want to go back to DC.  It's really nice around the white house and the museums, but once you get out of that area it's pretty creepy.  We stayed at the Hyatt in DC, and there were nice restaurants, office buildings, etc. around there...Then two blocks away was a run down rehab center, and a lot of crazy people.  Very scary.

Bonus: You mean, before he has the confidence to ask Chris Chelios if he would like to tango for a SECOND time?

  8. 1. That's a good question but it would never happen. I don't want to say that somebody as talented as Teemu had a fluke season or is lucky but...I don't know. Some players just have flashes of brilliance beyond their already high amount of talent

    2. I don't think that AO is going to get 1000 career. The thought of that is just mind-boggling. Could he get 100 in a season though? Maybe. Would I respect him for that? No. I don't like goal scorers like him. I like goal scorers who have more assists than goals

    3. Steve Yzerman, Mario Lemieux, Wayne Gretzky. 3 hall-of-famers who know the game, know the players, and can handle the business aspect of it. They were all successful because of their intelligence. All three of them are also in NHL teams handling the behind the scenes aspects of the league that few really understand

    4. Toronto. If he isn't going to retire than he's going to stay. If he does end up moving? The Jets...c**p I keep confusing Sundin and Favre...you understand

    5. All the Original 6 cities. Historical, good/entertaining teams, etc.

    6. Anaheim- I hate the Ducks

Atlanta- Do they really need a team?

    Bonus- 7-ish?

  9. First, the average IQ is actually lower than Buttman's.  They can't even figure out how to "Browse Categories"  It should really read, "Does someone who uses AT and T have a higher IQ than Bettman?

1)I don't thnk it matters. He has his HOF credentials, even only playing half-seasons.

2)I think he can reach 100 in a season as long as the league keeps calling those ridiculous touch-hooking calls and goes to a 4 X$ 20 minute OT period instead of the cursed shootout.

    3) Someone who is a good lackey for the owners.  Does a comminisher reduce the number of teams? Then he has my vote.

    4) He stays in Canada as an Ice Road Trucker.

    5)Never been to Minnesota.

    6) Should I?.... No, I won't say Glendale, lol.  I hate when I have to take my son to LA to see his genetic specialist. It's a freakin zoo. I can't fathom how people can live there.  I have never been to Atlanta, but I hate it just because UPS has its headquarters there, and they suck as a company.

Bonus:  Depends on the vintage, If it's Budweiser swill, about 12.  Imported from anywhere except Mexico, which is swill also, maybe six? Never turn your back on the Nipper.

  10. Much lower!

    1. Agree.

    2. 100 goals in a season. 1,000 also seems likely.

    3. LOL Comminisher. Sorry Howler, I know I shouldn't laugh. h**l, give the job to Yzerman.

    4. Wherever his heart desires!

    5. Detroit.

    6. Atlanta is a bit too southern for me.

    7. Nips doesn't even have to be drunk for that, he can ask Chelios that even when he's sober. Though, he's never sober.

  11. WAAAAAAAAAAY lower.

    1. Agree

    2. 100 goals

    3. Mario Lemieux? Just guessing. lol

    4. Wherever he wants to be.

    5. Toronto, Montreal, and Detroit.

    6. Phoenix, it's really hot there.

    Bonus: None. 0. Zip.

  12. The problem isn't with Bettman's IQ.  Plenty of other good-for-nothing SOBs are smart.

    1. Disagree.  The 77 goals were notched in a high-offense era that is long over.  Also, players adjust to the tendencies of a new star, which is why most major sports have "sophomore slumps" or "sophomore jinxes."

    2. Neither.  Ovechkin, presuming he doesn't go back to Europe, may score over 600 or even 700 goals, but not 1,000.  And Gretzky's record of 92 is safe.  We haven't even seen 60 since Mario Lemieux in 1996.

    3. Anyone who cares about the game more than the profits that can be made from it.  In other words, not Bettman.

    4. In the Hall of Fame, though he'll be one of the more dubious selections, since he's never won squat.

    5. All of them.  I like to travel.  Except for...

    6. Dallas.  All good people hate that city, although the Stars as a whole don't have much to do with that.  Derian Hatcher did, though.

Bonus: Don't know NIPS, so I can't answer this one.

  13. Pretty sure Bettman can tie his own shoes. Jury's still out on the others.

    1) Sooner or later the opposition catches on to your moves and you become easier to defend. 100 goals a year is not something to take lightly, if Gretzky couldn't do it .....

    2) Neither. He plays a physical game and therefore will not last long enough to score 1000. Plus he was older than most rookies. See #1 for explanation on scoring 100 a season.

    3) Not sure, but we won't like him if he has to do his job well.

    4) He'll be Mats of Elsewhere.

    5) Already been to every city with an NHL team.

    6) See #5.

Bonus: Didn't know Nips was a dancer.
