I seen the info commercial on it and i was pretty shocked at how easily it drew in large mouth bass. It seems like you have to be skilled enough to be able to menuver it that good though. Im not big on using lures unless im at a lake but i normally go to rivers.

  1. Which bait in the TV commercial don't catch fish ?

Some attract fish, some attract the buyer.

So far, senko is quite good for large mouth.

  2. Keep in mind that the fish used in that commercial came from hatcheries and weren't fed for a while, and were inexperienced and hungry enough to have bitten on a bare hook if you had tossed that into the tank.

  3. f you know how to use them, they are a GREAT BAIT. However they catch more smaller fish than bigger fish.... If the fish you are fishing for are going after bait fish then I would use them.. they imitate a dying bait fish very well, and I have some. I do not use them all the time, but they have their time and place. You have to see what type of bait fish are being fed on in the waters you re fishing, saltwater or freshwater. If you see the correct size and close enough color of the banjo minnow, then yes they will prob work.. if not then you might get lucky.. . The banjo minnow is just like any other lure, it will catch fish at the correct time for that lure... Do not count on just them.

The best thing I can suggest for choosing a size, is see what type of bait fish the fish you are fishing for is feeding on. Then chose the closest size and color you have to that bait fish. Use this rule and you will make things a lot easier for yourself.

    Hope this helps

  4. Yes and no. I have caught fish on them, but only when I sprayed it with bass attractant (the fish was in a pond). What you need to do is buy some rubber baits that have pig fat, salt, and sent in the rubber. These do work.

Another tip: live, imitation, and surface lures work best in the morning and evening in the shallows where bass feed. Deep diving plugs, spinners, and buzzbaits work best in the afternoon when bass go for deeper water to stay cool.
