Since the Glorious Revolution of 1688 no Catholic can be king or soveriegn of Great Britain/UK ,marry a Catholic or stay in the line of succession.

Isn't it time to end this scandalous insult?

  1. No! King Henry separated from the Roman Catholic Church because the Pope would not grant him a divorce from Catharine who could not give him a male heir. He had to save the monarchy and the only thing to do was to separate and become the head of the Church of England (which by the way, being an Anglican married to a Catholic, is very similar to catholicism. Very few differences, most prayers are the same, communion is the same, biggest difference is Anglican has public confession not private with the priest.) The reason other religions were not named was probably because those others were not known. Think about when the rules were made people, and how much world travel there was at the time. Not all rules were made to be broken.
