Is the bar spacing of 1 1/2 in. to wide for for a cage for the 12 week old African Gray Congo ?

I found this cage locally and it's big What do you think abut the bar spacing for my African Gray Congo?

Inside dimensions are 4'8" tall x 4' wide x 3' deep. It's 6'3" at tallest point, not including feet and wheels. 1.25" between bars. All-metal construction with standard lock. Food dish access is from outside.

Pleas let me know I would hate for it to heart my bird!

It`s a big one anyway the birds reach the maximal size in a few months. I think it`s right nevertheless some people give as recommendation  from 1" to 1 1/4" for bar spacing. maybe the only problem is that his head could be trapped  between bars but you can take measure of the head wide of your parrot and decide if there`s any risk.

This is an awful large cage for a baby bird to learn to perch and climb around the cage bars on.

Be sure to lower the perch's until he learns to hold on and climb well.

Can the bird get it's head caught between the cage bar's, this is the main concern with bar spacing size, plus too big for the birds feet to grasp tightly can cause a nasty fall.

This size cage would be nice when the bird is older and better at perching and climbing and play.

The cage should be powder coated too. Zinc from metal causes a toxic effect in birds that is very serious.
