  1. of course it is, the society makes you and you make the society. if you would have been born in the 1000's you wouldn't even think of personal progress or you wouldn't be against war or racism in the same way you can be growing up in this times. that's because when you grow up people are always saying is bad to discriminate or other things of that sort that will be the base of all your future thoughts.

  2. Sure, look at the influence TV has on our lives. It tells us what we want, even when we don't want it. Have you ever saw an add for something you would never go out and buy, but after an infomercial or two you own it. Same goes with news reports. Look how easily we can be manipulated by the news.  Poor Brittney, she can be our favorite sensation one day and the girl we love to hate the next.

  3. Not at all. It's a mere stereotype. I know men that are kind and polite and don't have a war like bone in their body. But I also know men that are tough acting yet inside they are truly cowards.

Myself for example, I am very defensive and quiet. I put my toilet seats down, I cook, do laundry, and clean my house. But none of society has anything to do with me or my behavior.

  4. In the micro sense yes, growing up in a poor or abusive house and staying in the same polluted vacinity as an adult can cause negative social behavior.

In the macro sense no, a person has the choice of how to live and where to live so a person who becomes accustom to living in the west isn't necessarily going to be a cowboy type.
