  7. -_-

    no.

  8. Absoluteley not - It was pieced together by Church officials about 300 years after the death of Christ. To my knowledge (I've been out of the research game for some time) the oldest document currently known is the Summerian Creation epic, found in tablet form, called the 'Enuma Elish'

Theoretically, at least some of the bible comes from this document, as the majority of the old testament is made up of bits and pieces picked up by the Jewish masses as they travelled (were sold as slaves) through various parts of the old East.

Interestingly, this document references a battle in heaven between Marduk (the lord of the Earth) and Tiamat (the Dragon) who embodied Chaos - the Primal mother so to speak. Marduk set boundaries in the sky with Tiamats parts, and assigned various roles to other Gods, before creating mankind as slaves to his race - so they didn't have to do physical labour.

  9. Hardly.  Most of the stories in the bible are take-offs on earlier religious writings from places like Egypt, Persia, Greece, etc.

  10. Nope. The Vedas predate it by centuries.

  11. The cave drawings showing sun worship.

  12. No. The Vedas, which are the Hindu texts. Hinduism is the world's oldest religion.

  13. No, the Royal Standard of Ur is the oldest.  (it has a lot more than religion on it though).  And it's an inscription not paper.  It's from the very first known civilization on Earth
