its brilliant...a great atmosphere and the best stuff you could ask for! go on a saturday if you want a good atmosphere or a monday if you wnat to be in and out!

Yes, it's not bad if you go on a Friday or Saturday as there are more stalls there then.  There's an assortment of stuff to buy in there, from clothes to material to meat and fish.  Outside there are more stalls, mostly fruit and vegetables, but also handbags and underwear.  If you walk up the hill there is the new Bull Ring Centre with loads of top shops, so a very good selection of retail outlets.  Outside there is a massive Waterstones if you're into books, it's five storeys high.  Then there is a main pedestrianised shopping street and just a stroll away is New Street Railway staion, so it's all very easy to get to.

Gosh you're bringing back memories for me now. I was born in Birmingham, but moved to Cornwall 15 years ago, but oh, how I miss the Bullring, and the indoor market, the "rag alley" and the cheapness of things in Birmingham.

Yes, the indoor market is wonderful, I was there just last year, and although I live by the sea now, and watch the fishermen come home with the catch, I still cannot buy cheap fish, like I used to in Birmingham.

I also watch vegetables growing in open fields, but pay £1 for a cauliflower, or a cabbage, as they are "shipped" up to Bristol, and Birmingham, before they come back down to us in Cornwall. I used to hear the stall holders yelling "come on girls, get your collies, 3 for a quid" and now I pay 3 times the price for one which grows yards away from my house.

I love my gorgeous home in Cornwall, but miss the convenience, and cheapness of my native Birmingham, and a stroll around the indoor market, and the Bullring. I feel a visit coming on very soon!!!
