  1. i have one, its a good phone. i love it

i got mine 2 months ago.

oh, and it does delete calls, messages on its own, thats part sucks about it.

  2. I too believe BlackBerry devices are good investments. The reason the poster Bumpy was having issues is because her memory on the device was low, and that is why the texts and call logs would delete. There are ways to manage the memory on the device and, if you do, you won't lose any messages. I have been using BlackBerrys for 3 years (4 different devices) and have never lost any messages.

  3. It's not a bad investment.

I'm 20 and I depend on mine completely.

It keeps me updated on assignments/tests/job.

It allows me to have facebook and msn in my pocket.

It gives me access to the internet to look up anything that might come up.

And the ability to keep in touch with your friends, especially with those who also have blackberry's via bbm or pin msging is free!!

    I say do it.

  4. Sure, I dont see why not.

They will be able to access email instantly.  Log in to websites from class (should they need to, I do all the time for looking up words and reference materials).

Also can keep them organized with calendars/reminders, help organize their days/appointments/classes.

  5. I have a blackberry and it sucks. I would never buy another blackberry ever! It deletes any incoming, outgoing calls from the call log. It also deletes any text messages even when you just received it. It's a piece o'c**p.

  6. Well since you asked I'd have to say no.  People call those things "crackberries" for a reason. People get addicted to them and spend way too much time with them.  For a first year college student it seems like a bad idea.  Give them a reliable phone with few frills.
