  2. Burton makes a good board and they are durable, but there is a lot of hype that they are best in every way - which is not true. One thing I hate about them is the stupid 3 hole binding mount system that isn't compatible with all bindings.

    I would suggest a Ride snowboard.

    It depends what kind of riding you are doing. Burton is not the best board for the park or for freestyle riding. They do make good boards for all-mountain and the Punch would be a good beginner board for a kid or small adult - something that you could learn with and could improve on.

    REI carries these - look for a year end clearance price now and you could get a great deal. ABurton board at Morrow prices would be a good find.
