Is the butterfly swimming stroke a hard stroke to do?

You wiggle in the water like a dolphin, with you legs together, then bring both you arms over yourself from behind.  People find the rhythm hard, and it's hard because you have to almost dislocate your shoulders.  You have to be flexible.

in butterfly there is two kicks to one arm pull.  your legs kick together and you move like a dolphin in the water. It is the hardest stroke out of the frontcrawl, backcrawl and breaststroke.

Your arms come out of the water at the same time and when you kick your second kick you breath just as your arms are coming out of the water.

It is hard but watch the olympics and see what they do?

OK I am a swimmer. Breast stroke and Butterfly is way different.  In butterfly you put your feet together and kick your legs together like a mermaid or a dolphin.  This is the hardest stroke in the four common storkes. The four common strokes are freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke and butterfly.  To perform the butterfly in the arms, you move your arms like a butterfly but in a circular way in the water.  Kick twice then do the butterfly arms and while you are in the surface, you breathe.  Your body should always be wavy when you do butterfly.
