The reason I ask this question is because I want to know how many woking day Trinbagonians does wok?

With all the vacation time when is wok time?

For example if Christmas fall on a Wednesday people taking Christmas eve, Christmas, Boxing day, it make no sense going to wok on Friday so ah taking that too. Then yuh MIGHT, JUST MIGHT go to wok the 2 days before New Year's and then yuh taking the two after New Year's. So in two weeks you gone to wok for maybe 3 days?

Tell meh, please tell meh when Trinibagonians does wok?

  1. YES!

The calender day is longer that 365 days.

    Its 365 1/4 days !!

Sorry to break it to you, Trinbagonians don't work .

However, they do wok more that there are days in the year !

    So am told.

  2. Nope its the same 365 days with 16 public holidays [including Carnival Mon & Tues which isn't a public holiday but it might as well be lol].

Doh knock our calendar... cuz I LOVE the many holidays... we are a laid back people and we like to duck work to go Maracas, or river or run across to Tobago for a long wknd k!

Same thing like carni... if you not going to work monday and tuesday... and not weds... why go thurs&fri *coughs* it's the logical thing to do lol

  3. Well firstly it doesn't make sense when a holiday falls during the middle of the week (Tuesday - Thursday) It kills the spirit of the holiday, since we have much to celebrate for in T&T we need those extra weekend days to show our appreaciation.

I'm glad July is nearly done and over with!  Lets see in August we have 2 holidays, in September we have Republic Day which falls on a Wednesday (silly day).  In October we are supposed to have Eid on the 2nd and Divali on the 28th.  November is a pretty boring month - and in December we have two holidays

That isn't quite enough, I think we need a few more!

  8. I have had friends in the US ask me that same question. I am so Jealous. Julien you are too funny that is the best description I have ever heard. We work too much in the good old USA. Europe is similar to trinidad but they have one better. Some countries they have 2 hour for lunch. You can catch a nap/movie or even go shoppin!

  9. Buh hear you nah TS, you sounding like ah sour puss because we does enjoy we life more than usual! You should know...trinbagonians does maximise all free time!! Life too short and we doh like stress! I telling yuh flat out 365 days of the year and I making sure no wuk going to kill my a$$. Ah serious when it come to wuk and more serious when it come to play!

  11. Welllll, on the three days that we reach to work, obviously.  listen, just because we did it right the first time is no reason for you to complain cause we have the time to be on Y!A, and have public holidays ok.

yuh know we didnt quarrel when allyuh get 4th of july and we work for the ENTIRE month of July come rain, sun, snow and hail.  why would you begrudge us ONE single day after that :-(( huh!

and TS why yuh hadda go by christmas, we does make sure and do everythink before christmas week so we wont have to go to work man, you should know that.lol

    ***************

lemme tell yuh d truth...and yuh hadda keep it a secret eh, cause den everybody go want one to, but here in trini we all have a little elf-y person who does do the work for we......yeah, just like d elf and d shoemakers.  so we ent have to work.

Think about it, how else we go find d time to come on Y!A whole day and ole talk or have beach lime in d middle of d week or even be this happy ALL the time.

remember to keep it on d down low, shhhhhhhhhhh

    *************

breaking news!!! we might get an additional holiday this year.  Thank you Caribs!!!!! im just hoping its in November and its a Friday or a Monday!  i mean, Patos could do that for our indigenous (sp) people, right!?!?!?

that would make it at least one-a-month for the rest of the year. yeahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Edit: Jules, you forgot fixing make-up, combing hair, reading papers and checking mail, facebook, myspace, messenger, chatrooms etc.
