  1. Yes, unfortunately to me it seems that their ODI  career is over. They would be picked for the test squad though for a few more years, because I don't think BCCI selectors will have the nerves to completely ignore experience atleast for the test matches. But it's a matter of time before they are sacked from the test team also. Anyway, I really don't see what poor dada and Dravid can do in this situation. You see, even if they do play extremely well in tests, they aren't going to be chosen for ODIs. The selectors have made their intentions clear, and has shut the door to the ODI team for them. I don't know what Dada is planning to do, but I know this much-he is extremely determined, and he isn't willing to give up at any situation. He can make even the impossible happen. Rahul Dravid is also very patient and hardworking. But almost whole of India is against their inclusion.

In this situation, I think the most honourable thing to do would is that they should prove themselves in tests, and try to perform exceptionally well, and then they should jointly announce their retirement from ODI once and for all. I know only one thing-these 2 batting legends don't deserve to be humiliated in this fashion, and they should no longer endure this insult. But they should not expect any grand farewell from the BCCI. The "politicians and jokers" who doesn't know how to respect talent and ruined their career, has no right to bid them farewell. So, even if BCCI offers to give them a farewell, Sourav and Dravid should reject it as a moral protest.

  2. I hope not. I would love to see Ganguly and Dravid back in action. But maybe they should get one last chance before they bid farewell. Besides, as for those critics of Ganguly..........

Is it for nothing he is called the God of the offside.

Is it for nothing he is called one of the most classy left-hander ever from India.

Is it for nothing everyone totally adores the way he comes down the pitch to spinners.

Well Dravid can be described in 2 words-

    pure class...........

  3. yes its over

  4. Approxime

because I think Indian Board give a chance to new boy

  5. Their ODI carreer is over.  They should now retire on their own

    from ODI.

  6. until and unless dhoni is there they cannot come back to the indian team.

  7. yes

  8. Their ODI careers are over for sure, they might continue playing tests though

  9. Well , it's simple, Ganguly Dravud and Laxma no longer need to be there in the team , cuz of the youngsters who have fit in very well , n not because theya re bad players or no longer play well ..

    1. Ganguly : Where does Ganguly fit in the present Indian team ? When you have Gambhir in such sparkling form, you wouldnt like to switch to a man of the past. That does not speak low of Gnguly, just that yes, he's not going to be called.

    2. Dravid : What can I say ? As an Indian fan , I used to have tremendous repect for this man. It has waned down with the IPL. Seems suddenly that his days are over and he is not ready to come to grips with it.

Raina has taken his place and looks very comfortable with it. Rohit Sharma is going good and thus , Dravid , well his time is over.

Dravid's career is over. Ganguly, I'm not so sure, cuz if he shores up his bowling, I'd be picking him for Irfan Pathan !!

  10. By not selecting them in the probables of Champions trophy, the selectors have made their intention of keeping them out of ODIs quite clear. And this isn't the first series they are kept out of. So I guess the way its going with the team in ODIs- the scheme of fitting youngsters in that is, Sourav & Rahul should conisder of calling it a day.

On the other side, if we'd have to look it on a more inspiring note, then they should make a will to do exceptionally well in the test series against Sri Lanka and show the selectors that age isn't a barrier for them. Because if Jayasuriya can be recalled into the team even at age 39 because of his ability then why not our great players because what we want!!! good results and victories. And if youngsters crumble under stiff situations then obviously selectors should give some thought on making a balance & arrange a winning way. But the politics & egos in the board & selection play a bigger role in selection than talent. Thats a sad truth.

  11. As far as ODIs are concerned its all over..

But the board should not forget their services and should make platform for a decent retiral..

Give them one last round of ODI series which they should make memorable...

  12. IT is utter nonsense plaing player like ROBIN utthapa INSTAD OF GANGULY

  13. As far as the ODIs are concerned both Dravid and Ganguli's careers are pretty much over but their inclusion in the test team gives some hope that they will be around in the international cricket for a couple of years. If I were in their place I would have announced my retirement last year. Before cricket was a politics now it has become a big business so they can still cash on their past services and get involved in cricket clinics and all sort of things.
