Is the citizenship test as easy as some people say and do you have to speak perfect English to pass it.?

Both the UK and US require being able to speak and English in order to become a citizen. However you are not expected to be able to read and write as though you are fluent in the language. You will be able to have enough knowledge to read signs, order in a restaurant, to communicate with others, and know enough to work in the country. If you are struggling with reading and speaking you may be better waiting until you are somewhat more comfortable with the language.

Most local libraries will have materials pertaining citizenship test.

I only know one person that has taken it and his english is pretty crappy yet he could pass the test.

So, I guess the answer to your question is closer to YES than no.

LOL, I tried to do it for fun ( as a typical white british person) and I couldn't answer half the questions!!

I don't think you have to speak perfect English to pass the test. You have to know a lot about the government and history though. I heard there are classes you can take before the test. It might be useful if you are not sure what to expect or you can simply download some sample questions. I don't think it would be a big deal for someone who can read and write in English.

If you know your basic American History, it should be a whiz.

However, lots of people say it's easy if they've passed it. Personally, i know there's things on it your average American doesn't know, so, yeah, it might be kind of hard.

As long as the interviewer can understand you when you speak and you can communicate, you're all good.

well i recently went for my  fingerprints and hopefully ill get my date for the interview soon.. i studied the questions online and they are preety easy..just study and you'll get it right..practice makes perfect..the questions are preety basic but a person who doesnt really speak or understand enlgish will have a hard time ..im 19 born in honduras and i've basically been here all my life so i better pass it lol ..
