Is the city Hacienda Heights on or near the San Andreas fault line?

No, not really.  Hacienda Heights is in the Los Angeles area, and the San Andreas Fault runs east of there, just east of Palm Springs.  Thats about 100 miles or so away.  Some people might consider that to be "near", but not me.

There are other faults closer to Hacienda Heights that could cause earthquakes.  If you live in that area, you should be prepared for earthquakes no matter where they originate (large fault or small fault).  There are certain things you should do to your house to make it safer, you should have an earthquake kit prepared, and your family should have a plan on what to do if there is a damaging earthquake.  The best way to survive an earthquake is to be knowledgeable and prepared.
