Is the city "corona" in california on the san andres fault?

i live in corona, and im worried about the "earthquake" thats supposed to happen on the fault. is corona on it? or near?

also, is san bernadino on it or near it?

  1. I'm just down in Murrieta and I'm not worried about "the big one" that's supposed to hit LA. There will be some damage around here but not as bad as the costal regions.


  2. We are pretty much on or near a fault in this neck of the woods.  I live in Orange County, and the Newport-Inglewood fault is another one we have to worry about.

    Just make sure you keep your earthquake supplies current, and the furniture bolted to the walls, and you're most likely good to go as long as you have an emergency evacuation plan.

    The fault runs parallel to but northeast of the 10 freeway. It runs north of sanbernardino, banning, and Indio, and west of joshua tree.
