Is the cold weather harmful to golf clubs?

I have a set of Taylormade R7 and and R5 driver, will the cold weather be harmful too them.

  1. Nothing should happen at any temperatures you're likely to encounter. At both very cold and very hot temperatures, epoxy can break down. But you're not going to be out in that kind of cold.


  2. I have the R7 driver and its a great club.  It will not harm it, unless they are in the wet (snow, rain etc.)  But, unless its like 2 below, nothing HORRIBLE will happen.

  3. Cold weather won't hurt your clubs, but it's not smart to leave them in your garage or car because they're more likely to get stolen.

    On the other hand, heat will hurt your clubs. If you were to leave your clubs in your car on a hot day, the clubs heads may become loose because the epoxy starts to break down at around 120 degrees.

  7. Normal usage on a golf course would not be harmful to these clubs.  Leaving them out in the snow all winter would.

    Use head covers.
