  1. Yes! is open!!!

  2. Hello,,

Yes, the colosseum is open on Saturdays.  Buy your tickets at the palatine hill ticket booth to avoid the lines to the colosseum.  This is a combo ticket that will get you into the colosseum, palatine hill and the forums.  The colosseum is open at 8:30 and closes one hour before sunset, so it depends on the time of year you go.  The fee is 9 euros and 2 euros if there is an exhibition going on inside (that is most of the time).  These tickets are good for 2 days.  The ticket office closes one hour before closing time.  The colosseum is closed on Christmas day and new years day.

  6. Yes, you can join the queue along with another 50 000 tourists and pay the rip off price to get in.

And what so you get in return.....rude, inconsiderate service, and you get to see what you have seen hundreds of times on television anyway - wow!

Please note: The last civilized Italians inhabited Rome over 2000 years ago, this present bunch is anything but civilized and effectively live off the merits of what their forefathers constructed.

Enjoy the circus that is Rome and the Romans.

Present day Rome is a s**+thole.
