  1. fact is industry profits are up .so no concern for the environment is not u hurting them a bit

  2. No it is just costing you more to by the product. The manufacture is not going to loose on tax or any thing like. You will pay for all this garbage.

  3. No.  That's always been an argument from those who want to stop environmental protection programs.  But look at history.

In the US in the 1970s-1990s the major environmental programs were the Clean Water Act and the Clean Air Act, both passed in the 1970s.  The cry that they would destroy industry was loud and long.  But, after some initial startup industry adapted to those extremely controlling programs.  They spent many many billions of dollars on pollution control.  And the American economy thrived.

The Chinese have used that as an excuse for pollution that is literally killing people in some Chinese industrial cities.  And even they are now realizing that concern for the environment is necessary and attainable, even while growing economically.  Reforms are under way.

  4. NO. Any new environmental restrictions on companies costing money is just passed on to the customer. Prices go up and they keep selling to you. In some cases it can even increase profits because the company can now market its "Green" products.

  5. In a way not.  Industry will use up our environment, but then it will just move someplace else and ruin their environment. ex:::moving factories to Mexico for cheaper salaries to be paid to workers, giving workers less rights, and letting factories do more of whatever they want to do that hurts the environment.

  6. yes

  7. Pollution is a waste of resources and money.    Using CF bulbs saves energy and costs less than multiple regular bulbs.    Refineries found that they need to add more hydrogen to oil when taking sulfur out of crude.    By adding more hydrogen they get more product from each barrel of crude.    Concern for the environment is good for almost any company, they just have to find a way to make the change more profitable.

  8. Yes for now it may... I do hope that in the future, industry will have to adjust to the standards put on them by society...

  9. is concern about your house

your family your dear and important ones

ruining your professional / economic growth

then how can concern for environment ruin economic growth

we live in this environment it is our duty to protect it

the most developed countries also have good environment

why cant we have it too we are just careless

  10. Currently yes.  Because they are refusing to or are too slow to change, to take advantage of the growing market for environmentally friendly products, processes and outlets.  Every old technology struggles with death throws in the face of new technology.  The trick for owners is to embrace the new market and make the changes to fullfill the need.  If they don't someone else will.

  11. No, industrial profits are still very high, but if we get very restrictive energy policies, industry would probably be hurt, and the general economic growth would slow. If we were to outlaw the building of new coal enegy plants, the cost of electricity would rise and the economy would suffer.

  12. When an industry finds it can't produce without creating pollution, instead of coming up with a solution, they simply move manufacturing overseas to somewhere like China, where the government there is more concerned with profits than the environment.  What they are really doing is shifting where they are polluting
