Is the construction industry in your area slow?

My dad works at a construction company in Miami. And he hasn't been going to work lately because the industry is slow. So i would like to know is the construction industry in your are slow?

Yes--here it is very slow. People are losing jobs because of it and some smaller real estate companies have shut down.  It's really bad here.  I live in Central FL where the economy was bad to begin with, now it is awful.

No big industrial projects, not even renovations and repairs, but residential and commercial are rocking right along.

I am in north central Texas.. home construction has slowed some... but commercial construction is being hampered by not having ENOUGH equipment and men.
