  1. Ireland is much more expensive... the reason people think the UK is so expensive is because of the exchange rate. I'm from the USA, lived in Ireland but when I visited England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland everything was expensive, purely because of the sterling exchange rate, I lost money... but for people actually living in the UK and earning pounds, the cost of living is quite good. Except in London maybe! On the other hand, Ireland is one of the most expensive places I've been to... and certainly the most expensive place I've lived.

If you're going to be doing a lot of traveling around, and if you're going to Dublin, be sure to check out Temple Bar and maybe do a Dublin Bus Tour, and there's a great place called The Porterhouse just off Grafton Street for drinks.  If you're going to London, I recommend doing the tourist thing as well... I got to see the typical places like the Tower of London and Buckingham and went on a boat down the Thames... typical stuff you'd expect to do but it's great and not that expensive for admission, the busses are pretty cheap to get from A to B, and you can make a day of it without spending much!

  2. Ireland is expensive, especially Dublin which is extortionate. Northern Ireland is around the same as the rest of the UK apart from London, which is obviously more expensive to visit, but it is well worth it.

    Enjoy your trip! :)

  3. According to an news article a few months ago, Dublin is the second most expensive city in Europe.  Oslo is the first.

The rest of Ireland is not as expensive as Dublin.  It's expensive to live in Ireland so it won't be cheap to travel around but if you are on a budget do as much research as you an about cheap places to eat, sleep etc before you go.

Use the internet do you your own research rather than hoping someone will give you all the answers here.  You'll learn more and your own information will be reliable and trustworthy!

  4. if you just staying in a hotel with no  Breakfast just the bed in london it's £50 a night per person. if you want to stay in a more luxury  hotel with the works that is more price...... the UK is the same as ireland so it does not matter.....you are gonna be cold the cities gonna get you down. be4 you know it you would want to be back home in the hot wheater lol

  5. ireland is a lot lot lot lot dearer

  6. everything is high priced in the UK not sure about Ireland....but would think it would be at least as high as the UK if not more.
