  1. It is tacky, and a cheap shot, and if that qualifies as freedom of the press, then something needs to be done about good taste guidelines.

  2. It sure is. Even if one don't like it i must be allowed, if not then for sure this country is over. Just like I didn't like what the AP wrote about Tony Snow it must be allowed and we can then voice or dissatisfaction and not support that organization

  3. The New Yorker has published countless "satires" of public figures. If you're in the public life, you need to accept cartoons and satires as a fact of life.... even if the satire is offensive as in Obama's case.

Note: Not long ago, Bush was shown as "President Evil", a spoof on the movie, "Resident Evil".

So if Obama can't take the satire, he shouldn't be running for president.

  4. It's neither.  It's disgusting, and they know it.  How many idiots that don't have a clue what The New Yorker is all about are now going to run with what they saw on the cover?  As a matter of fact, not only is it disgusting, it's stupid.  By the way, I'm not an Obama supporter.

  5. Freedom.  It's satire that's all.  As President he will be subjected to much worse.
