Is the creation of a website for a certain company a good alternative to telemarketing?

telemarketing is a system of the company and the study i'm working with is a proposed system which is creation of website...Is my proposed system appropriate for the existing system the company had?

  1. Yes, these days nobody would take telemarketer's calls. I hang up the phone a lot of times even before they finish the sentence once I figure out who they are.

A better alternative would be to purchase a business mailing list from a data provider, this would contain details of your targeted market (company name, postal address, contact name, contact position.....) and direct mail your prospective customers from this list. Much more responsive and can always be followed up with the other methods (website address, telephone call).

  4. It really depends on the target audience of your advertising campaign. If the target audience is likely to be internet savvy, then a website is the way to go, but if the target is less likely to access the net for any reason (low awareness, poor connectivity, etc) a telemarketing campaign is the way to go. In some cases a mix of both method might be the best option.

    You might want to analyse the following among other things:

    1. How long has the telemkting system been in effect.

    2. Results from telemakting (market penetration, etc)

    3. Target audience (demographics, access to internet vs access to phone services, surfing habits, etc)

    4. Cost of advertising (to the company, to the customer)

  6. I look at some of the big companies and how they run Telemarketing campaigns. Obviously they are outsourcing their telemarketing campaigns to private companies, but the fact of the matter is that telemarketing gives you the oppotunity to have direct contact with your prospect, potential customer or client. Many times when a companies marketing gets stuck - one the first things they will do is launch a telemarketing campaign.

    Having said that I believe that telemarketing can be very very effective in business to business marketing..if done right.
