  1. Iit is a theory, therefore not a fact!

Compared to Adam and Eve it is really quite factual.

  2. Yes & so is Newton's theory of gravity! The uneducated simply do not understand the definition of theory, which is the highest tested form of scientific observation & expermentation. They have an "idea" that Darwin is wrong, but they have no evidence that indicates that. If they had some credible evidence, it could be elevated to the status of "hypothesis." However if this was supported by all other branches of science & survived all tests by all branches of science, it might eventually reach the status of "theory."

One seldom finds a creationist testing the Theory of Gravity by stepping off a TALL BUILDING!

I sure am tired of hearing the blather about no transitional fossils existing... I can name several 100 of them, but have listed them in the past & concluded the same people will persist in telling the same outright lies, regardless of what I do.

  3. Those who cant accept complicated reasonings believe that God created everything. Easy as that. But those thinkers out there... Ahhhh... I'd say they'd agree with Darwin.

  4. I believe Darwin was a moron. No way was his theory true. My belief is that God created everything. Its so simple.

  5. Evolution has been demonstrated through selective breeding, deep ocean core samples, fossils and the known history of life on the planet. That's just a few of the sources. In 150 years no major part of the concept has been disproven.

The best site to learn about evolution is:

National Academy of Sciences: (Guidebook on Evolution)

    http://www.nap.edu/readingroom/books/evo...

    To quote from this source:

"Evolution in the broadest sense explains that what we see today is different from what existed in the past. Galaxies, stars, the solar system, and earth have changed through time, and so has life on earth.

Biological evolution concerns changes in living things during the history of life on earth. It explains that living things share common ancestors. Over time, evolutionary change gives rise to new species. Darwin called this process "descent with modification," and it remains a good definition of biological evolution today."

"Is evolution a fact or a theory?

The theory of evolution explains how life on earth has changed. In scientific terms, "theory" does not mean "guess" or "hunch" as it does in everyday usage. Scientific theories are explanations of natural phenomena built up logically from testable observations and hypotheses. Biological evolution is the best scientific explanation we have for the enormous range of observations about the living world.

Scientists most often use the word "fact" to describe an observation. But scientists can also use fact to mean something that has been tested or observed so many times that there is no longer a compelling reason to keep testing or looking for examples. The occurrence of evolution in this sense is a fact. Scientists no longer question whether descent with modification occurred because the evidence supporting the idea is so strong.

Why isn't evolution called a law?

Laws are generalizations that describe phenomena, whereas theories explain phenomena. For example, the laws of thermodynamics describe what will happen under certain circumstances; thermodynamics theories explain why these events occur.

Laws, like facts and theories, can change with better data. But theories do not develop into laws with the accumulation of evidence. Rather, theories are the goal of science."

A common comment is that man "descended from the apes." Consider:

"If humans evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Humans did not evolve from modern apes, but humans and modern apes shared a common ancestor, a species that no longer exists. Because we shared a recent common ancestor with chimpanzees and gorillas, we have many anatomical, genetic, biochemical, and even behavioral similarities with the African great apes. We are less similar to the Asian apes—orangutans and gibbons—and even less similar to monkeys, because we shared common ancestors with these groups in the more distant past.

Evolution is a branching or splitting process in which populations split off from one another and gradually become different. As the two groups become isolated from each other, they stop sharing genes, and eventually genetic differences increase until members of the groups can no longer interbreed. At this point, they have become separate species. Through time, these two species might give rise to new species, and so on through millennia."

  6. Despite all the very plausible and eloquent explanations and mountains upon mountains of scientifically orientated, ambiguous information in support of Darwin's theory of evolution, it still cannot stand up to all the genuine criticisms, mainly of its lack of crucial mediatory human fossil evidence, but specifically, evolutionist's best supporting proof of evolution, viz ; the 'imaginary', "Common Ancestor" (Not only do they fail to give it a name, they can't even say what it was, because, whatever they describe it as (e.g. man/beast, all beast, all man etc) causes even more major feasibility problems!). There never was such a creature.

I am NOT a creationist, so I am not biased in ANY way, nor are the hundreds of eminent scientists, from all over the world, that have signed the, "Scientific Dissent From Darwinism", statement  (see <WWW.DISCOVERY.ORG>).

Darwin's Theory of Evolution, is so plausible, as I said above, and it is very easy to understand why 'evolutionist' so readily accept it, especially when 'creationist' are ramming 'god' down everyone's throats, but plausible as it is, and better alternative, for them, that it is, from creationism, IT STILL IS NOT TRUE!  And, the more fanatical followers of the evolutionists' faith, should take a bit of their own advice, and stop 'ramming' the "TRUTH(?) of Evolution", down everyones' throats!!

  7. why not?

  8. Evolution is an observable fact, and has been considered so for over 100 years. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either ignorant, religious, or both.

Evolution is tripping over the same stumbling block that Heliocentrism did in its time: the inability for humans to accept what they do not wish to be true.

Copernicus figured out that the Earth rotates the Sun back in the mid-1500s, as I recall. It was only almost 300 years later, in 1822, when the Catholic Church finally allowed books to be published that claimed that the Earth was in motion.

Considering evolution has been accepted by scientists as true for over 100 years, I don't find it at all surprising that it still isn't accepted by some religious authorities. Hey, there's one born every minute, eh?

  9. It can neither be proven nor disproven.  That is why it is called the THEORY of evolution.

To prove it, you would have to duplicate the events that took place and observe them.  Since we can't go back in time to the beginning of life, it will always remain a theory.

  10. Although my faith is in God, Nothing has ever proven that it cannot be both. Its complicated but i think since we are beings of change, then it is possible that we may have originally had a different form.

  11. no..

  12. Look at disease and tell me it honestly, that it hasn't evolved/changed. Evolution occurs on a daily basis.

    Cancer

    HIV/AIDS

h**l, even the simple cold..how many different strains are there...?

  13. Yes and it doesn't have a single thing to do with religion except that some drug addict wrote a book in which he stated that some higher power created the earth and everything else in one single week - even without a blackberry. So now a bunch of compleate idiots (just as the church them wants ) believe literally in this c**p

  14. NO!! for a couple different reason's, 1: their are NO transitional forms EVER found!! (which is the biggest flaw in this theory) 2: mutations have been proven to make the animal LESS LIKELY TO SURVIVE!! 3: at the end of Darwins life, he DIDN'T even believe it himself!! God created all things and thats a fact!!

  15. Unga bunga, me cave woman... Of course not, God created the world.  He created people, not evolving apes.

  16. very complicated. some evolution does exist, but does not address the massive biodiversity known today. nor does it explain the rise and fall of mega fauna. Creation does not admonish the evolutionary process. I think that considering the relation ship between all living creatures that there has to have been a driving force behind our coming into being.

  17. Yes, Beacause there is no God !

  18. Its not a question of it being "true"!

The theory and hypothesis of evolution is valid based on current available data and evidence.

    Data and Evidence not Belief!

Its only "true" in the sense of being validated by science!

  19. Absolutely. If you can't see that all around you, then you are not observant!

  20. No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Darwin himself doubted creation!there is NO real proof for evolution. Go to AnswersInGenisis.com

  21. as my friends in brooklyn would say, "soi-ten-ly".

  22. 100% true cause science has proven this and we all know science is based on fact not fiction!!! but on the other side we all need something to belive in be it yourself, faith, family or friends

  23. If bacteria appear out of nowhere on this earth with life in it, than who gave it life?

Chemical reactions? There must be a greater power that did that job; GOD

  24. It has not been 'proven' true, but has substantial supporting evidence.  Many theories have to change or get thrown out as new evidence arises, that is how science works.

  25. depends...

it could be right for other organisms, but for humans, i think thats pushing it a little bit... humans are too complicated to have evolved from apes and stuff... he just watched too much planet of the apes; thats all...

  26. NO.  Evolution has been proven, but "the strong survive" thing has been proven incorrect.  We can see it in the human race.  Smart people statistically have less children, because they plan each birth.  Dumb people have more children.  Because they're stupid, and can't figure out birth control.  Who ever breeds the most, wins.  Darwin never said that, and it's a proven fact.

  27. I love it when people attempt to disprove Darwin's theory by stating that God created everything. How one negates the other, I have no idea. Perhaps God created everything to evolve. The Bible states that the world is a reflection of God--and human spiritual evolution is part of our life process, so why not biological evolution, as well?

By the way, by virtue of a thing being labeled "theory" it has yet to be proven true.

  28. Theories are not true, they are explanations of known facts. The more facts they explain and the better they predicted new discoveries the more the are accepted as correct by scientists. So far evolution  has been successful at explaining much of the fossil record and has predicted new discoveries but people have raised questions about some things that leads to some doubts. However there is no other explanation of the evidence that depends on natural phenomenon and supernatural is not part of science.

  29. its about as accurate as global warming

  30. What exactly is Darwin's Theory?

When you can answer that...you will be able to answer your own question.

  31. There sure is a lot of evidence to support it.
