Is the difference between a 46inch and 52 inch Sony Bravia XBR4 all that worth it?

Im getting a Sony Bravia LCD high def tv. The 52" will cost $4000 with tax, the 46..around $3000. Is the extra 6 inches that noticeable, does it make it all that much worth it? Please let me know in your experience

6in is Not all that worth $1000, you mite as well save the money... Besides the rate technology is jumping it will be out of date in 2, if not 1, year(s).

The 6" difference is pretty insignificant for a $1000 difference. Note that by moving your viewing position slightly closer to watch the smaller screen (e.g. 10 ft instead of 11.3 ft) the screens will look EXACTLY the same size (See link).  A pretty cheap way to save a $1000 (assuming size is the only difference)
