  3. Caribbean

  4. It is in the Carribean, but it is a Latin country.  here's what i got from wikipedia:

"The Dominican Republic (Spanish: República Dominicana, IPA [re'puβlika domini'kana]) is a Latin American country located in the Greater Antilles archipelago on the Caribbean island of Hispaniola. It shares a border with the Republic of Haiti. Hispaniola is the second-largest of the Greater Antilles islands, and lies west of Puerto Rico and east of Cuba and Jamaica."

Puerto Rico is also a good example of a Latin American, Carribean island.

    Hope that helps!

  5. The Dominican Republic is the majority of the island of Hispanolia.  The other country on the island is Haiti.  The island of Hispanolia is in the caribbean between Cuba and Puerto Rico.
