I didn't find it to be scary at all. You are propelled upward with water, and you can expect to be in enclosed tunnels  in certain parts of the ride; sometimes with some pretty cool special effects. This is meant to be a family attraction, which means it is not too scary for kids that meet the height requirement, but it is fun and exciting enough to entertain an adult.
