  1. Hm I think it will.  I actually predict that it will be better and start to have a slow recovery in 2009.  That's what some indicators point to.  A chief economist (who's statement is in the article I linked) says that the economy will begin to have a recovery in a year.  The IMF believes that we will have a slow recovery in 2009.  I think that things may get worse later this year because a recession could hit- we're above one now but it could hit- but I believe things will get better.  We'll probably recover next year.  So yes I think things will be better.

But they may not be noticeably better.  The improvement may not be something one could notice well.  It may take a while before strong improvement is seen, perhaps in late 2009 or early 2010.  I don't think a depression would occur though.  I do believe that there will be rough times and a gradual recovery.  And oh yeah the housing market, according to an expert in Sacramento, will probably recover next year..and another source believes it would take months for it to recover.

    Hope I helped you. :)

  2. I think so. The global trend is driven by developing countries.

  3. Yeah because it's year of the ox.

  4. No, it will be a lot worse.

GWB's white house says we will have a 482million deficit

  5. Probably not, but not because it is impossible. It wold require changing a system that too many powerful people benefit from.

  6. I think it will take a long time to get us out of this mess! Wished I had a more positive answer for you and everyone else.
