I was considering moving to Ireland, and I was wondering if the economy is in any better shape than here in the U.S.. I know in Arizona, the ratio of wages to cost of living is outrageous. Is it any better there? Thanks for the help.

  1. yep Ireland's grand...its in 4 a 2 recession but then we r gud 4 10 years so...

  2. Economy is sh*t

Sorry to be blunt, but moving from America to Ireland at the moment seems a bad idea to me

I'm certainly not an expert in this area, but your exchange rates will be something like

    1euro : 1.45dollar

    Quite bad!

America affects pretty much the whole world...theres a world-wide recession in effect at the moment and Ireland is no exception.

Jobs are very hard to find at the moment here.

Yes, salaries are impressive, but the cost-of-living is also extremely high

This is excluding the rising (and already outrageous) petrol prices/heating/water prices etc......

I think if youre trying to "escape" a harsh economy, youre going to find Ireland an inappropriate destination!

    ;)

  3. i think so, but we are slowing down and as a student its hard to get work because we have too many new EU immigrants.and we are an expensive country.
