This is not the only area of education that has been dumbed down.

  1. Yes and this is due to the feminists in the education sector.

In UK exams which favoured boys have been downgraded and course work has been upgraded.

Modern exams look like quizes out of women's magazines.

All the men have been driven out of schooling of young children by being labelled child abusers.

  2. Sabrina, did you know that red states gobble up welfare like no other? The welfare flows into states like Alabama, Mississippi, Texas... deeply, deeply Republican states. Take heart though. The outlandishly poor rarely vote. They just wait for their Mac & Cheese to get done cooking and turn on Springer.

Did you know the poor overwhelmingly vote, when they can be bothered to vote, GOP?

Did you know that people with degrees of higher learning are overwhelmingly liberal?

Did you have any idea what you were typing before you did? Have you ever Googled this information? EVen the Republicans admit it. That's why they call colleges and universities hotbeds of liberal evil. That's why they call rich people "liberal elitists." I've never, ever even suspected someone thought the LIBERAL base was uneducated poor people. Crazy! Minorities and women mostly vote GOP too I bet! LoL

Have you SEEN an election time red/blue map??

    ANYWAY...

The education system has been dumbed down to accomodate different folks. Like George W for instance. He gets into an Ivy League school for having money.

It's been dumbed down for women, I'll admit it. I'm a feminist and I hate that schools lowered their standards for women. Since I can't change that it happened, I can be d**n sure to study, learn and test well. I can get a 32 on my ACT. I have a 4.0 GPA. I'll graduate with the top, with a bachelors of science, and go to medical school. Nevermind the people schlubbing along at the bottom with their 2.0 and a useless degree in criminal justice or education. They'll not affect the rest of us, male or female, if we don't let them. (My kids will be attending private school.)

It's been dumbed down for minorities. Yes, it has.

It's been dumbed down for English-As-A-Second-Language types.

If you want to go to an institution of higher learning in America you should have to earn it, but, well... since you don't, at least not to get your bachelors (which has all the import of a HS diploma these days) s***w it and go on to your Masters, PhD, MD, DDS... whatever, do SOMETHING else...

Our country is alarmingly stupid! Listen to teenagers interact with each other! I get dumber every time I go to a restaurant without a dress code.

  3. Certainly.  In 2008, it is difficult to live above or even at the poverty level without some sort of "higher education" if you are supporting yourself.  The bachelors degree of today is the high school diploma of 50 years ago.  Everyone has to be able to get it now, and everyone is also encouraged to go to college, even people of below average intelligence.

People can say "you can do anything you put your mind to!" but that's not true.  A person with an IQ of 90 just is not smart enough to become a physician, no matter how hard they try.  Really.  Even someone with an IQ of 105 may never be able to get above a D in a statistics class unless it's dumbed down.  And it's ridiculous to ignore the significant differences in intelligence and ability.

But we must, so everyone can do exactly what everyone else can do.

  4. And let me guess...this is the fault of feminists, right? Just like tsunamis, locust plagues, space radiation, toenail fungus, infomercials and male pattern baldness.

  5. Certainly, Absolutely & without a doubt..

  6. It could be that if equal outcomes is the goal then methods to manipulate it such as catering to the lowest common denominator will become much more common.

Point is equality only works when it was produced by equitable (fair) means. If not then it's just a case of saying we should all be equal for the sake of being equal which is obviously absurd. I don't know who's to blame for this but it doesn't help when you have an equality minister

  7. Absolutely. Dumbed down also so that the liberals can keep their voter base. Poor uneducated dependent on government assistance people vote liberal. Period.
