Is the egyptian military strong or not strong and why are they not helping palestine if they are strong?

It has a good military, not STRONG. I mean, its average, like Saudi Arabia!

But if it helps Palestine, israel will worsen its relation with it, and the relation b/w isreal and egypt will break down. If military support, US will be involved and destroy egypt. So I dont think egypt wants all that...

Well they kinda mind their own business.They are nuclear,so I would say strong.

The Israelis have whipped the Egyptians on the battlefield several times.  Also, Israel has nuclear weapons.  Egypt does not.  Why fight for a bunch of criminal losers anyway?

Egypt had enough trouble with own issues, like fundamentalist groups at egypt, war at sudan just beyond the southern border etc.

They don't need any more trouble, like involved that old vendetta "Palestine vs Israel" or something.

They gain good with tourism and trade, especially new Cairo a serious jump point for some one who reach north or middle africa states .. join a conflict, nah .. they don't need that.

bottom line : this isn't a military issue, they prefer live in peace

p.s : Imo Egypt really interesting country, been there several times .. hope I can visit again.

Now why would they? If they did, Mr 'Boss of the world' US president will probably decide that Egypt is a terrorist country and the US army will probably invade Egypt and pollute the Nile river.

Egypt has fairly good relations with Israel, and would never support Palestine.

No the egyptian military is not that strong. They won't help palestine because they know that palestine is wrong!

They have no need to get involved.

they do help Palestine by smuggling weapons to them. As for the Egyptian military it just so happens that they signed a treaty with Israel to prevent them from going to war with one another. In this deal egypt gets to buy US equipment like the M1-A1 tank and F-16. So they can't attack Israel without risking the loss of all those american goodies and spare parts.

people just don't fight if they don't have to. It's not cool. Especially when it means people will die. They should however partake in more humanitarian efforts, but as I am aware, it doesn't seem to be a very humanitarian climate.
