No. However the American people get easily fascinated with young out of control women so as soon as controversy (particularly when it involves s*x and alcohol) arises with someone who is at the moment popular on the national stage the media jumps on it. They are just trying to see if this is a story the American people will obsess over like they did with Britney, Lohan, Paris Hilton, etc.
