It's considered emergency contraceptive because it's meant to be used in an emergency... not as birth control.  Buy some condoms or actually get on some real birth control!  You should also consider STDs as well!!!

EC will protect you from pregnancy, yes.  But the woman will bleed a lot immediately afterward, so it should be a last resort.

It flushes out the fertilized egg if there is one.  What it does is kill of a potential baby and cause havoc with your body because of the jolt of hormones it is getting.  Protection from pregnancy should be no s*x unless you are in a relationship that could sustain a baby, not killing off something that thousands of women wish for every month.
