Is the face make up (foundation, concealer, powder, etc.) they sell in Macy's actually worth the price you pay for them? Also, will they put the make up on for you, so you can see if you like it before you buy it?

  1. Which brand of make up? I like the MAC and the clinique, both of which they sell at macy's. I think it is worth the price because I have sensitive skin and they don't dry me out or anything. They will give you a makeover, if you ask.

  2. yea if u ask them, they can put it on for u. they sell pretty good cosmetics brands like benefit, clinique, and mac. so i'd say yes they r actually worth the price. i know people who buy from there. but if u dont want to buy from there, then buy from sephora, but you'll end up paying the same.

  3. The face makeup they sell at the Macys closest to me is : MAC, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Benefit, and Origins. They are great makeup brands, and they don't test on animals, which is always a plus!

It is definitely worth the price, because the makeup stays on all day, and doesn't look uneven or caked on. If you are looking for a specific makeup item, you can ask them to test it on you before you buy it. If you don't like it, no problem! The people who work there are super nice and will try to find the right makeup for you.

I especially love MAC & Estee Lauder. MAC has great lipglosses, and Estee Lauder had great foundation! Origins is all natural, so thats another great makeup brand.

  4. I would give that a definate no. It's not. Usually you're paying a big price for the brand name. smokymountainminerals.com is great & avon is too.

  5. the make up that they sell at department stores yes, are of better quality than those of a drugstore. it all depends on the brand-- some will be great and some will be a ripoff (because you can probably get a covergirl foundation for the same quality but lots cheaper). my best suggestion would be to, yes, try it on at a brand's station. they will apply it onto your face and you can see if you like it before you buy it. i like walking around the mall for awhile before coming back to buy it just to see how it sets into my skin.

  6. I have very sensitive skin and have tried them all.  They are expensive but in my opinion not worth the money.  The worst of them for me was Avon.  I started using a product called Artistry and so far I love it.  It is at a website called www.rekindleyourhealth.com.  They have a money back guarantee.  It was somthing like you could use it for like 90 days and send it back for a full refund if you didn't like it.  Good luck

  7. you can test it yourself on the inside of your arm, if the shade is a couple shades darker, it should be okay, but about macy's-- estee lauder is pretty good, but yeah, it is expensive. you can get a lot cheaper stuff at drugstores, which dont work as good as some of the make-ups at macy's, but they work well also. and some of the brands put it on you, like a free make-over kind of thing. i hope i helped!!

  8. yes!! avon is also good and yes if you dont like it you can always bring it back
