  1. I have just about managed to cut through all the 'razz a ma tazz' etc.

I am a Brit, but a frequent visitor to USA and I use this forum quite a lot.

I have many American friends, I have never seen or heard of anyone praising the virtues of Bush!

Yet you all have another Bush waiting in line, and opinion seems to be that this will be a close call??

                                               OK I give up

We do have something in common , we have a sort of democracy, our leaders will toe the party line, or get slung out.

Our systems are not really that different , both have two main parties , you have one looking to redistribute the countries wealth among the rich, the other trying to make a better deal for the poorer.

We have more of the poorer in the UK, and you have more of the poorer in the USA.

Am I really oversimplyfing the situation here?

It isn't really the man at the top, it boils down to party policy.

Good luck with your choice, we have a few problems here in the UK at the moment.

  2. How could that possibly be worse than casting your fate with an unknown, unqualified socialist like Obama?

  3. McCain had it right he is not Bush's third term Obama is Carter's second term

  4. Wow, an ageist.

Personally, I have respect for my elders. I'd prefer an older, wiser politically experienced man with dignity over a young "rock star" wannabe with no experience.

And McCain is in his early 70's, which isn't really old by today's standards.

  5. well if he kicks it we have a nice, young, hot, inexperienced woman from nowhere to run the country. Maybe by that time she'll know not only what the vp does but also what the president does as well.

  6. Obama chose an old white guy,you dim wit.

  7. The Dem's selected a man with no experience as their Presidential nominee, and he in turn chose a 65 year old man who is everything that Obama talked against--old Washington politics.   ***

  8. Republicans love more of the same. More rich old white men who are out of touch with America. Now that's stagnation you can believe in!

    McSame 08'

  9. sorry....i dont speak democrat

  10. He's the best they could come up with, which doesn't say much about the republican party. But they all tend to vote partisan, no matter who's running, which doesn't say much about the republican party!
