Even though some restaurants have changed the oil they cook in, for example, McDonald's cooks in veggie oil instead of animal fat (also due to vegetarians request) and KFC has moved to no trans fats I.E. hydrogenated oils. Burger King has actually said they refuse to change the way they cook their foods so if you're hard up for some trans fats that's the place to go!

The answer is "no," foods provided by these restaurants are fine.  If they were bad for you, then they wouldn't exist.  But everything in excess is bad.  Some scientists back a couple of years ago said that eggs were bad for people, and now it's healthy again.  It's all a matter of oppinion, some individuals however just constantly eat foods from fast food restaurants and it does more harm.  Just remember, those restaurants are fine sometimes, just not all the time.

  5. Definitely. That's why there's such a major push to restrict/eliminate the use of trans fats just because they make the food taste better.

  8. Yes I believe it is very bad. I suppresses your immune system, cause you to be over weight, you become addicted to it because of all the additives. It is a lot of money if you eat  it often.

    I it should me a once a week treat for yourself and thats it at most.

  9. of course it is harmful!!!!!!! if you eat it once in a while because you are lets say: in the car. driving for a while, don't have food with you, and you are driving by one, then sure, pick up a SMALL! burger and SMALL fries and be on your way. however, if you are to eat fast food, lets say everyday, twice a week, or something like that, you have a high risk of becoming unhealthy.

Fast foods are usually deep fried in oils that are not good for you at all.  The fats that are in that food are bad fats the ones that can cause heart proplems and clogs if not eatten with caution.  I know that it taste good but that is because of again all the fat in the food.  Fat is a flavor inhanser and that is why the foods that contain more fat people are more likley to eat because that taste better and appeal to people more.Think about it would you  rather be eatting a big mac with a side of fries and a large soda or a boiled chicken brest with steamed veggies and a glass of water.  Yea the Big Mac and fries taste better then the chicken but the chicken is so much better for you.  An adverage person needs between 2000 and 2500 cals. a day to live healty.  A big mac with a medium fries and a medium soda is 1540 calories thats is in one sitting and it is the same for the bk wopper.  If you have to eat at a fast foor place i would get a salad if they offer then with a low fat dressing and no i am saying that as a weight thing again a lot of dressings have a lot of you guesses it fat in them and are not good for you to of the worst that you can eat are ceaser or ranch and if you do like those the best again low fat or fat free would be the best way to go.  I know that B.King and mcdonalds have grilled chicken sandwitches witch are sometimes ok to eat but they come with mayo so if you do get one of those make sure to ask them wo make it with no mayo it again may not taste as good as it would have with  the mayo but again it is better for you.  But for the most part try to avoid fast food at all coast your body will thank you.
