  1. No, I think it paints a minority view.

I have a friend who got a free homestead in Alaska and he built his own house and feneded for himself deep in the woods for years.

That's not indicative of the average American.

Most American's aren't familiar with that fancy building you have in Sydney or even what it is.

We see next to nothing from Australian TV and Dundee leaves one with the impression you're still climbing out of the Botony Bay era.

He's a like a Cowboy and they don't exist in America anymore.  Today's Cowboys are like JR from that old TV show Dallas.  A good ol boy with a big hat and expensive boots who probably couldn't ride a horse if his life depended on it!

  2. It's a fictional movie for heavens' sake.

Since when, unless it is a factual documentary does any movie positively, or negatively influence any country's' identity?

Crocodile Dundee was fun, light hearted, and comical, and had some good scenery shots of Australia, that it, nothing more needs to be read into it.

  3. Yeah it has a bit of humour to it.Suits the Aussie identity.Beleive me we dont have crocodiles just walking our streets here.LOL

  4. I think so
