  1. just have to have proper ventilation and that the tank is large enough. The nice thing about the tanks is it's easier to keep at the extreme temps they need also it's good for keeping it dry enough for them

  2. I don't agree. I have 2 bearded dragons in a 40 gal. critter cage for the last 11/2 yrs. They are doing great. As long as they have the proper lighting and food they are happy. If you really want to learn alot about them go to this web site. http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.co... this is the best place to learn. They will tell you everything from food to diseases to cures. good luck try the site it's amazing

  3. probably not because beardies need good circulation an ventalation. real vivarium would be better.

  4. no there are humidity and air circulation issues they need a proper wooden vivarium

  5. As long as your tank has a screen cover, it should be fine. Most fish tanks have a full, black plastic cover will will make the fish tank retain heat and humidity.

In fact fish tanks that are trashed because they leak are great budget homes for bearded dragons, as long as it's big enough. You'll need a 50 gallon tank bare minimum for a single adult beardie, anything smaller may fit babies for a while but after that they will need something larger.

If your tank does have a black plastic cover, you can usually find the right sized screen top for your fish tank online or at a pet store for under twenty dollars.
