  1. yes and no.

yes because it's shallow and if your actually using (meaning doing more then carving over and over) it your gonna hit your noggin more often then you would somewhere else with the equivalent wave heighth.

No, because it's the same deal over and over. The flowrider is more like a toy, if you really want to make progress you need to be at a beach. theres is more to surfing then waiting in a line and jumping in.

  2. Flowboarding and surfing are not the same, regular wave surfing has unpredictable waves, while flowboarding the waves are always the same. So I would say surfing is actually harder than flowboarding.

  3. I have only seen it (flowrider) on TV and in magazines. I'm sure it's fun, but it is not surfing. In the ocean every wave is different. Taking off is different very time. Every ride is unique, even when you wipe out. The ocean is the greatest place on earth. It is powerful, beautiful, sometimes very dangerous and ever changing. I'm sure I could have fun on a flowrider gadget, but it isn't the ocean, my friend. You are trying to compare apples to oranges.

  4. Acuatley no It's not hard at all. You may fall ounce or twice on it but ounce you try it a few times you will be doing tricks. It's a lot of fun.

  5. nope its the same constant "wave" so whatever you did wrong before you can simply adjust on your next turn to avoid falling...unlike surfing in the ocean where the waves are never the same it might take you a couple more tries and attempt to correct whatever it is you did wrong...

  6. actually its nothing like surfing... maybe more like wakeboarding.... except landing on your head hurts.
