Is the focus on global warming taking focus of other important environmetnal issues?

Mainly air pollution? Also, water pollution, species extinction, deforestation, chemicals and toxins in our foods, etc. Anything i'm forgetting?

Everything you mentioned is a contributer to climate change. The reason things like that matter is because they affect climate change and can play a role in slowing down the rate of climate change or increasing it depending on their severity.

And it is intended to distract from the progress already made by the Bush Administration on Geothermal/Hydrogen energy. We already have clean H-powered vehicles running around some major cities.  To keep the media quiet about Bush's progress on this, they focus on Gore's propaganda.

If the media told the truth about this, Hillary couldn't go around claiming "we need to get this nation started on a path to clean energy".  The truth would take the wind right out of her sails.

When leftists make a lot of noise about something, you can be sure they are trying to distract you from something else.

It mainly keeps the simple minded worried about things other than the government becoming all too power full and just simply put above the law.

absolutely not..Global warming is so fundamental for everything else you have mentioned. If we don't focus on core issue then how are we going to improve others
