Once caught and proved to be the nasty bits of work responsble for cowardly stabbing people on our streets - send them off to the SAS to see how well they get on with their knives there!

Once they have had the fear of god put in them by real men, properly trained in hand-to-hand combat - who no doubt will be more than happen to encourage them to attempt to use their knives to attempt to attack them - after they have thorougly had the arrogance beaten out of them and been totally humiliated by their lack of skill and intelligence and forced to understand the concept of humility, they can then be re-entered into society.

If they don't learn - then simply send them back for more training with this elite force - whom I'm quite sure need as much 'fodder' as they can get hold of,to hone their abilities for when they are called upon to fight for their country!!!

Surely there's enough proof by now that care, understanding and counselling doesn't bloody work - it just breeds contempt?!!

  1. Bring back the Borstals of the 50's 60's. Two years borstal training, then two years conscription into the Infantry. That should do trick. Many years ago my cousin, who fancied himself as a hard man; stole 17s/6pence, 75p today. He was sentenced to 2 years borstal, when he came out, he got called up into the Army, just in time for the Korean war. He's an old man now, he Say's the army was a piece of cake, compared to borstal. He ended up doing 21 year's service. As for the s a s, I think their a bit busy right now.

  2. The answer is hard work and legal.

  3. No.

Brutalizing people does NOT make them less brutal, but MORE so.

Dealing with the root causes would b much more sensible.

Prison is NOT the comfy, luxurious thing many paint it (well, except for White Collar Criminals -- they have it safe and cushy; that's because though they're guilty of much more serious damage to society, they're rich).

  4. I would put a cowards brand on their forehead.

  5. nope

  6. I have to agree with Blazing Pen Avenger.  Stuff the do-gooders and the human rights act - lets have some human rights for the victims

  7. So your answer is to take  knife welding thugs and educate them in the art of hand to hand combat. then send them back into a defenseless society

  8. My own answer to this would be unprintable, so instead, here is my realistic view.

Anyone caught with a knife should be given mandatory ten year jail time. Without possibly of parole.

Only jail time will make people think twice about carrying a knife.

Anyone convicted of harming someone with a knife. Mandatory 20 years.

I would say cut their hands off personally. And then let them on their merry way. Like some countries cut the hands of thieves off. I believe this would be a better deterrent and cost the tax payer less.

If someone goes out with a knife in their pocket, they are prepared to use it. Making each and everyone of them a potential murderer.

  9. The answer is chain gangs and hard labour. no work no food.

  10. There are two ways to look at the solution of a problem. One way is linear thought.  You solve by repeating the action-eye for an eye. The other is cycle thought. You solve by using the opposite action-turn the other cheek.  We know that people break norms by either learning the wrong thing-abuse or they have brain chemical problems or worst, some brain problem. First, you first must find out what is wrong with the person then figure what is the best method of dealing with the person.

  11. 1. Zero tolerance. 2. Birching. 3. Borstal. 4. National Service. 5. Build more prisons. 6. Tear up the Human Rights Act 1998. 7. Re-introduce capital punishment (it is coming back, and, by; massive popular demand.) Clueless Politicians, shall, be; put in their place, by the Voters.
