  1. No its an Indian adaptation of Chinese food. It's made to suit the Indian taste palate

  2. Is it prepared by authentic Chinese people?   Then yes, it's just as authentic as any other Chinese food.

  3. Probaly not. It might already be cooked and all they have to do is microwave.

  4. NO WAY!!! visit some country where Chinese food is actually cooked by Chinese people, and you'll understand the difference between the two.

  7. no its indo-chinese.. and not authenthic chinese

  8. Yes

  9. NO WAY.

Chinese food is very very very different from Indian food.

Indian food is intense and very rich.

Chinese food is subtle, delicate, sophisticated and deep.

The Chinese food you eat in India is just a clone of Indian food.

However, most Indians are VERY inflexible and cannot take any other food except Indian food (which is very sad because you don't get to taste many different cuisines), because they're so used to intense heat and flavour that they forget how to actually 'taste' different textures and tastes - subtle, soft, passive, etc.

So it's best to stick to indianised Chinese food, if you can't take different foods, especially Chinese food.

It's like if Indian food is say, Earth, Chinese food is Sky. There's too much of a taste gap.

I'd say you move to western food or other cuisines before you take an extreme road - Chinese, Japanese, etc.

By the way, I love Indian food, but not everyday - I love to try out different cuisines - Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Indian, Arabic, Mediterrinean, Brazilean, etc, etc. ! :)

  10. Some (Mahjong in Bandra) offer authentic chinese food. Most offer desi, red "chai-nees" food.

If at Mahjong, try the dimsum - it is dead on accurate!

  11. NO.The Cheinese food you eat in India is the spiced up Indian version which has little resemblance to the real stuff. But let me tell you one more thing the real Chinese food will taste horrible to you and no way we're going to like it.However our Indian Chinese is tasty and we love it.So be happy and go for it!
