Is the forecast ever right?

Do the meterologists in your town EVER get yor forecast right, ours don't! But yet they don't get fired for not doing their job.... hhmmmm...

all they can do is report what the national weather service says and interpret radar...  what do you think "partly cloudy" means???????

Our town is a miss it once in a while town.I think i heard that if they have the more advanced equipment they can do a much better job.But this year has been a effort of everyone .All you hear is the weather.Someone told me that we best get ready for loads of weather changes.Ever think we will have a tornado in the winter?Some say that we will.All the weathermen do there best with what they have and some are just better and more into it than others

Where I live in SE VA, they are usually right. Don't put down meterologists until you go on tv and try and predict the weather.

a forecast is a educated guss from meteorologist your local National Weather Service will have the best forecast

Not really... it said we were going to get rain...but we don't. Its said that for about a week now. I guess it just might be a certain area and I live in a spot where it is dry. I'm sure there right, but it just might not happen in a certain area. I love meteorology.

We have fantastic weathermen here Abq, NM......but then again, it is hard to mess up NM....Hot/Dry/Wind, this time of year.  haha   Even the weathermen get excited when precipitation is in the forecast!

winds are unpredictable ,sun's presence change the weather.These are some parameters hat make forecast wrong .Forecast could be right for only one day .

Nowadays its wrong because of global warming.

But some of the time they are correct as there satellites can detect a huge rain cloud coming over the country. If it isnt big enough then they may accidently say it rains because of chance it may rain.

Also, they can get hurricanes wrong because they can change distance quickly..well only one time they got it wrong in England when michael fish i think his name was, he said that england would not get a hurricane in the late 80's but a few days after he said that it came and destroyed alot of homes.

So alot of the time they can be right but it cant always be 100% certain.
