  1. No, not really.  And you won't find it in the Bible.

  2. I WiiSH

  3. In my experince only up to a point, because there are factors that can change suddenly with no indicayion that they are going to change.

  4. If it was, you'd know!

  5. no you can not. its a mistery and no one knows. but you know you coudl get inside if you were intune to the right soul or something like that.

  6. Whats your religion if Christian-nope its already set in stone we`ll end up in heaven or h**l as he sees fit.

With other religions it all depends.

  7. Well maybe to a certain extent, but we can never really know what all will come. Some is just common sense, but then it can turn round and bite ya in the butt!

  8. Sure -- it's EASY.  Just wait for it to happen.

  9. God knows.

  10. Yes, watch 'Who's The Boss' re-runs

  11. In a rational sense, you can know the future

in part by looking at past patterns. That way,

you can predict general patterns likely to recur

in the future if certain variables stay constant.

Other than that, some mediums state that they

can see the future. And, some people have dreams

that predict the future. I think they see across

the dimensions of time and space somehow.

Lastly, I agree that the Bible, and possibly

    other religious documents, contain prophesies

that also point to what will happen in the future.

  12. Yes! read the Bible.

  13. yes just watch the politicians and see.

  14. It is not knowable, in the strict sense of what it is to know. To know something implies that you are aware with certainty. But it's impossible to have certainty about the future. There's no guarantee that the sun will come up tomorrow, although we have every expectation that it will. However, some aspects of the future can be predictable using our current knowledge. Since you're asking this in the parapsychology category, I presume you're asking if psychics can "know" the future. Well, to date there is very poor evidence that they can.

  15. Only what is in your heart...

  16. i'll tell you in a minute!

  17. It mostly depends upon your system of beliefs, the culture you have been raised in.

My guess is - no. There is no defined future which we blindly follow.

We make our own destiny each second.

  18. only if you know the answers

  19. No. No one knows what the future holds in store for them.

  20. I wouldn't say that the future (and perhaps anything else) is knowable. I would say that the future is predictable (perhaps by many different means) and that your own actions can influence the future.

There are tests of precognition (knowing the future) such as attempting to accurately predict the next card that will be randomly chosen by a computer. However, there is no way to eliminate the possibility that you may have influenced that choice with your intentions and expectations.

You might look at the links below for more information.

  21. Satan, his demons, and all non-Christians will be thrown into the lake of eternal fire. (Revelations)

  22. What is knowable (can be known before it occurs) is not future as it becomes present to us.

  23. Hang I'll look into the future and see.

Hmm. I see a tall dark dark stranger who'll bring you disaster.

No sorry that was a crossed wire. So no the future is not knowable.

  24. depends what you want to do with it!

  25. The future lay in possibility. Each future experience, every possible outcome co-exist together in a field of possibility. Predicting the future always happens within the context of our choices. However, it lay in flux, because we are constantly making different decisions.

You can know the future, if you carefully and consciously make specific choices, that will produce the outcome you wish to desire.

Let's say you wish to be a doctor. That is the future you wish to experience. Then you will make choices, like going to college, taking the required classes, going to medical school and getting a degree. All of the experiences which will bring you to the future you wish to experience. However, any change you make will alter the possible future you experience.

This happens at the personal/individual level, and at the collective level also.

  26. To God, yes.

To you, probably not unless God gives you a prophetic dream about something to warn you of, for someones life.

And then it would probably be just one thing, and you still wouldn't know the rest.

  27. I bet you're trying to guess what you're going to get for Christmas!!Maybe we should all say what we think we're going to get and see if it comes true. You go first.

edit...I wanted to answer this and there really wasn't anything left to say.

  28. Well we can try and predict it, but you can never KNOW for sure what's going to happen!

Weather reporting tries to predict the future. Doctors try to predict the future (by giving certain medicines, they try and alter this future). All forms of gambling do...

  29. If you believe what psychics say.

  30. NO

But if you do know, please send me the Lottery numbers for next Wednesday.  I could do with the cash.

  31. No. the future is unwritten and their are too many variables.
