They have massive gaps in their defense.

I heard a statistic today that the Galaxy has allowed the most goals in their net than any other team in the MLS, meaning Galaxy are relying too much on outscoring their opponent.

It is not Becks fault if they have a leaky defense and it is a team game, so you can't blame one single player.

Also, he is not playing in his natural position and when I have seen him a few times....I feel like he is playing @ half pace most of the time (probably keeping himself healthy if England comes a calling for World Cup Qualifying) which is a shame.

To be honest one player does not make a team. Beckham

when he played at DC United in June. For all the hoopla and

overcharged tickets if it weren't for the fact that I am a

Die-hard DC United fan, I would not have paid or even gone

if he didn't play. For the teams who have had to bump up

their ticket fees they should get a better quality game.

Beckham played like he was out of gas, standing like he

was a tree dragging a Telephone pole up and down the field.

I think LA could have more efficiently spent there money

on better players. IMO!!!

i think that the galaxy felt safe when they started to win a lot and when they knew they could rely on becks a little more when they reached first place in western standings. so no, i don't think it's becks fault, it's the whole team, and their defence.

and to trevor, the first answerer, beckham has scored 5 goals, not one.

It has nothing to do with David Beckham...LA Galaxy have one of the strongest offenses in the MLS.  The Galaxy have a weak defense and a young Keeper.  They can't stop teams from scoring.

Look at the stats, and you will understand what's happening:  Galaxy have scored 38 goals, by far the most in MLS, but have given up 40, also by far the most in MLS. So....it's obviously not Beckham's fault---he wasn't signed to shore upthe defense, his job is to create goals, and the Galaxy has done that.  The defense, though, is another story....
