Is the game "The Sims" still around?

Question

I used to play the game when it first came out when I was younger but then as I got older I just grew out of it. I was just curious if it was still around and how it has evolved if any. THANKS.

I still play it because I am not that wild about the Sims 2. While the HOuses and props are better for Sims 2 I still just prefer the older one ( and my computer needs to be updated for the newer ones Lol. ) but like all others its just got expansion packs and some stores  online and with the games.

Nah, it  only has evolved by having more functions and stuff you can do in it.

Yeah its still here. Sense the first game came out there was expansion packs. Then part 2 came out and that was pretty expensive, it came with many expansion packs and alot of content you can download and even an online store to actually buy stuff. Now in 2009 their coming out with the Sims 3 which im excited for! But my wallet aint cause i know its gonna be heavy on my money lol But i think im already growing out of it so eh =)

Well i think no one plays the sims 1 now but check the questions in the section there are loads of questions about the sims 2 the sims 3 is about to be released too.

Yes you can get the Sims with all of the expansion packs for about £10-$18. There is also a Sims 2 now but that will cost quite a bit more money. Hope I helped.
