Is the gaming industry more successful now then the movie or music industry?

I don’t know about the stats with regard to the music industry, but the number that’s been bounced around a lot in the last few years is that the game industry now makes more than the movie industry’s *box office* profits.  DVD sales and other post-theater profit (licensing, TV runs, etc.) for the movie industry still far outpace the game industry, though games are growing at a much faster rate.  I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same story as compared with music.
