Is the gas (CO2) which comes from dry ice toxic?

well i heard if you keep breathing it in directly you can sufficate. But would it be ok if i use dry ice to cool drinks if i don't swallow the dry ice?

  1. ITS BEST NOT TO PUT ANYTHING CARBON NEAR YOUR DRINKS  


  2. yes if you keep breating high quantities yes it is. But you can be surrounded by it for a period of time and it wont do anything.

  3. its 110 below  dont let it touch u skin   dont drink with it still visable   ...freezer burn can occure      you wont suffercate   ... youd pass out first then most likely  u would be away from the ice so that u could breath more air and get more oxygen.

  4. CO2 comes from dry ice at -40 deg C is not good for anyone.

  5. Breathing gas which has come directly from a solid at -40 deg C is not good for anyone, nor is bringing solid CO2 in contact with your lips or tongue.  The CO2 may freeze your drink.
