Is the grammar correct?

Grammatically, these sentences are perfectly correct.  However, logically, the only way the second sentence makes sense is if it is being asked facetiously.

Grammatically it is correct; however, you do need to capitalize the "i" and consider the context to which these sentences apply.  I would use a colon  instead of a period, though. (I laugh: am I not happy with that?)
